Protests erupt outside Kasba Police station as 3 arrested in alleged Kolkata college gang rape
Egra police have made two arrests in connection with the Egra blast incident. The individuals detained have been identified as Debsundar Jana and Tapan Debnath. The Criminal Investigation Department (CID) has initiated a thorough investigation into the matter, while local residents have expressed their discontent with the police's handling of the situation.
The police had been conducting extensive search operations in the area since the previous day, leading to the apprehension of the two suspects. According to local sources, both arrested individuals were involved in the procurement and transportation of gunpowder to the factory. However, the primary accused, Bhanu Bagh, remains at large, prompting the police to conduct raids in Odisha in an attempt to locate him.
In response to the incident, Gyanwant Singh, along with a forensic team, has arrived at the scene to oversee the investigation. The villagers, who have experienced similar incidents in the past, expressed their frustration and stated that they had previously protested against such occurrences.
